Why The Bible Is The Best Business Book You’ll Ever Read

With so many new business books releasing you might have a hard time figuring out the best business book to read. For me, the best business book you’ll ever read has to be a classic:

The Bible.

The best business book ever

You hear me right. I believe the best business book ever written is the Bible. While the Bible is an old book, it’s a good book on business.

What The Bible Says About Business

The Bible lays out the story of God, His creation, His son, and ways to live out our lives. The Bible also gives us clear directions on how to do business.

Let’s take a look at what the Bible says about business:

Avoid laziness-

Laziness and slacking off at work can be a major problem. And this business problem is one the Bible addresses. In Proverbs 10:4, the Bible tells us: Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

7 Bible Verses Every Leader Needs To Memorize

One of the greatest business books ever written isn’t even considered a business book. Many people call it a religious tome.

That book? The Holy Bible.

There’s so much wisdom contained within the good book. We can read the Bible and learn how to lead others, take care of our families, and treat others.

But business leaders often overlook the wisdom of the Bible. They think it’s not applicable to the business world.

Those business leaders would be wrong.

Today, I want to share with you 7 Bible verses every leader should memorize and why.

Bible Verses Every Leader Needs To Memorize

1. Proverbs 18:13 (NIV) – To answer before listening– that is folly and shame.

Too many leaders are quick to jump into action but slow to listen. By acting rashly and quickly (though we do have to take decisive action at times), we open ourselves up to much trouble.

How 3 Questions Can Change Your Leadership

As a man of faith, I believe God can change our lives for the better. Through Him we receive the ability to persevere and have hope for a better tomorrow.

In 2 Chairs: The Secret That Changes Everything, Bob Beaudine’s latest book, Bob shares 3 questions that will disrupt our lives. I believe these 3 questions can also change your leadership.

2 Chairs and 3 questions to change your life

The 3 Questions That Will Change Everything

The premise behind 2 Chairs is that we need to spend time conversing, not just talking TO, God. By using 2 chairs we will have a visual representation of our conversation with God.

This is an amazing premise. Yet, I love what Bob’s mother shared with him at one point in his life.

What were those questions?

1. Does God know your situation?

2. Is it too hard for Him to handle?

You’re Being Pursued

Our mailbox has been flooded with credit card offers recently. Finding two, three, or even four being delivered in a day has been the norm.

It’s annoying. We wind up throwing away so much paper, plastic, wasted postage.

But in the same breath, it’s exciting. Someone, or some company, is pursuing me.

They want my business. They want me to apply. They’ve approved me!

It all sounds so exciting. I can see how people easily fall into the trap of multiple credit cards and debt.

We all long for that pursuit. For someone to want us.

It’s a desire that has been burned into us.

Friday Night Lights is a term that has come to describe Friday night High School football. But this past Friday night I saw a different kind of Friday night lights.

Our church’s band had been invited to play at a youth rally at a nearby church. They agreed and it was decided we would bring the students from our youth group to the rally.

Seven of our students showed up expecting to have a great time of fellowship and singing songs. Little did they know what was about to happen.

During the praise and worship set, the students were actively participating. Whether it was doing the hand motions to the songs or actively entering in, they were doing it.
