The Power Of Online Influence

Growing influence beyond your local sphere of influence has become increasingly more accessible. With the advent of the internet, blogs, and social media, almost anyone can have online influence.

The issue is that not everyone uses online influence in positive ways.

We’ve seen the rise of fake news, angry outbursts, and more. This should be troubling to you and me.

Yet, there is something you can do. You can become an online influencer for good. There is power in online influence and the tools you use to build that influence.

When you think about the influence you have outside of the online world, your influence extends to your immediate sphere of influence. This could be your local friends and family, coworkers, faith community, business allies, and more.

Tips For Practical Leadership: How To Be A Good Leader

There’s no question that good leadership is essential for any business or organization to succeed. But being a good leader is not easy – it takes time, effort, and dedication. So if you’re looking for tips on being a more effective leader, you’ve come to the right place. This blog post will discuss five practical tips that will help you become a better leader and improve your team’s performance.

1. Be Clear About Your Goals And Objectives

As a leader, you must be clear about your goals and objectives. Your team should know what you’re trying to achieve, and you should be able to articulate this in a way that is both inspiring and motivating. If your team doesn’t know what you’re working towards, they will quickly become disengaged and lose sight of the bigger picture.

Public Praise

You may not like this fact, but your people need to be encouraged. They need to know that they’re doing a good job.

Encouraging and praising your team members is something we should all do. Especially in private.

According to a recent study, employee recognition is crucial to your employees.

The study showed:

  • Recognition was most important to 37% of employees
  • Recognition encourages retention (an employee is 63% more likely to stay at a job if you recognize them for their accomplishments)
  • 65% of employees feel they haven’t been praised or recognized

According to these studies, it appears leaders are not doing a great job at praising their people. As the leader you are, you can begin to change this fact. You can praise and encourage those you lead.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Sonic The Hedgehog 2

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

Sonic, the blue blur, returns for a second movie outing. Once again, the team behind the Sonic The Hedgehog movies does a bang-up job. Sonic 2 brings Sonic (Ben Schwartz) to life along with his video game compatriots Knuckles (Idris Elba) and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey).

The return to the big screen also includes the big baddie Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), Agent Stone (Lee Madjoub), and Sonic’s “parents” Tom (James Marsden) and Maddie Wachowski (Tika Sumpter). Even Maddie’s sister Rachel (Natasha Rothwell) returns. This time she also brings with her a fiance, Randall (Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds).
