6 Reasons Empathy Is Powerful In Leadership

Being in an organization where the leader is unable to understand or share the feelings of an employee is destructive to the employee. And to the organization.

When a leader is able to understand or share in the feelings of another, that leader is said to be an empathetic leader. These leaders assess situations not only by the end results but by how their people are feeling. They know if they can adjust or tweak operations, they can change feelings and get a better outcome.

Think about a time when you were in a position and the leader failed to understand or care for your emotions. How did their actions make you feel?

Probably pretty crummy.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Expend4bles (The Expendables 4)

The Expendables team returns in their fourth outing. As usual, we see the regular gang Barney (Sylvester Stallone), Too Road (Randy Couture), Gunner (Dolph Lundgreen), and Christmas (Jason Statham). The rowdy bunch is joined by Easy Day (50 Cent), Gina (Megan Fox), Galan (Jacob Scipio), and Lash (Levy Tran). These team members make up a rollicking good time as they have to track down the biggest threat the team of Expendables has ever faced.

Expend4bles focuses on a new villain, Rahmat (Iko Uwais). His mission is to collect pieces of a nuclear bomb and start World War 3 (we’ve all seen this before!). 

But that’s okay. When we know what we’re getting into, we can have a lot of fun. As with any of the Expendables movies, you know what you’re getting into. Wacky, zany action from classic action stars, along with new ones.  Read more...
