Today, I’m live blogging from the Catalyst Atlanta Conference. Catalyst is a gathering of leaders to hear from some of the best and brightest in leadership.

Catalyst’s theme for 2016 is Uncommon Fellowship.

If the live updates on my site aren’t enough, you can also watch Catalyst Live here.

The last speaker I’m live blogging from Catalyst Atlanta today is Father Edwin Leahy.

Host: What is your background?

Father Leahy: I grew up in an all-white community. I was involved in the church. Every time there was something needed at the church, my parents told me to go do it.

Host: Explain to us what the life of a monk looks like?

Father Leahy: The best way to describe what we do is that we fall down and get up. We try to live in a community and love each other. And we pray around the clock.

The church has been known to shoot each other because of what they’re doing. Whether it’s going multi-site or online streaming of services, the church hasn’t been friendly to each other.

There’s been a lack of unity within the church.

We’ve made the church down the street the enemy. We’ve made our brothers and sisters in Christ our enemies. They’re not the enemy.

People have not-so-perfect stories and Mike Foster has helped them walk through those times. He’s been reminding them that they’re loved and loved by us.

There’s something sacred about sitting with someone and sharing our mess-ups, our mistakes, our trials. They’re the situations in life that we hide and try to cover up. They’re also what creates something special within our community.

Things to Do While at Catalyst Atlanta

We’re wrapping up our series from the team at Catalyst. We shared posts from Tyler Reagin and Lindsay van Zyl. Today, you’re going to hear from James Vore.

James is the content producer at Catalyst. He’s a great guy and I’m excited to share what he believes you must do in Atlanta, Georgia while at the Catalyst Conference.

We want Catalyst to be a place where you come and build family, year after year. Just like in any family, the best way to grow together is to get to know each other. Here are a few key things to do and be a part of while spending your three days in Atlanta, and if you have some extra time, make sure to venture into the heart of the city. Invite a new friend and get out there and explore!

Catalyst Atlanta once again opens up with Andy Stanley. He’s the senior pastor of North Point Ministries and the author of Ask It!

Catalyst 2015 Atlanta: Andy Stanley Awakens The Wonder

We’ve all experienced an awakening of wonder at some point in our lives. For men and women, it’s typically different.

For men, it’s when we walked outside one day and BOOM! We saw the girl next door and we experienced her beauty, we smelled scents that we never smelled before. Wonder was awakened.

For women, it happened when they were walking down the mall. That same store that was passed by multiple times or your mother dragged you into suddenly lit up as you saw that pair of shoes. Wonder was awakened.

Then, there was the wonder of babies being born, coming to faith, realizing God loves us unconditionally. Wonder was awakened.

When Wonder Is Awakened

Something magical happens when the wonder is awakened.
