The church has been known to shoot each other because of what they’re doing. Whether it’s going multi-site or online streaming of services, the church hasn’t been friendly to each other.

There’s been a lack of unity within the church.

We’ve made the church down the street the enemy. We’ve made our brothers and sisters in Christ our enemies. They’re not the enemy.

There’s only one enemy to the church: Satan. Not each other.

The Prayer Of Jesus

John 17:30, 31, 33 shares the heart of Jesus. He prays for the unity of the church.

So, why are we not united? We need to come together.

Four Things To Bring Uncommon Unity

  1. We desperately need each other: We can’t do this life alone. We need one another. Romans 1:25 states that we are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
  2. We err on the side of being “For” and not “Against”: Do you believe the best or the worst about other Jesus followers? This is a question we need to ask ourselves day in and day out.
  3. We give everything we can to strengthen others: You have a lot of things that God can use. Think about what you have and how you can give those things to Him to strengthen others. Is this your mindset?
  4. We love like Jesus loved: The church should be the most loving organization and people in the world. Jesus told us to love our enemies. Are we living and loving like Jesus?
