Liam Neeson returns to the big screen as Nels Coxman in the movie Cold Pursuit. Cold Pursuit is based on the Norwegian film In Order Of Disappearance. In Cold Pursuit, Neeson’s Nels Coxman pursues the men he believes played a part in the death of his son, Kyle Coxman (Micheál Richardson).

One by one, the Nels dispatches the men responsible for Kyle’s death. He uses various methods to exact his revenge until he reaches the person who made the call, Trevor ‘Viking’ Calcote (Tom Bateman). This is when everything goes crazy.

Cold Pursuit looked like another sure-fire hit in Neeson’s catalog of movies. This film looked similar to the Taken movies or The Commuter. While similar to these movies, something is missing from Neeson’s latest film. I walked out of the theater feeling a bit let down. On June 3rd, 2017, Alex Honnold did the impossible. Alex free-soloed the 3,000 foot El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Free-soloing is the climbing of a rock-face without the use of any safety equipment. Alex had no harness, no safety net, nothing to catch him if he were to fall.

Such a feat seems nigh-impossible. To climb 3,000 feet into the air without safety equipment makes my mind hurt. It may make yours as well.

Having a passion for ice climbing, Free Solo caught my attention because of the high-risk behavior and the excitement of someone doing the impossible. Knowing there are people out there who are willing to risk life and limb to do what no other person is willing to do fascinates me.  Read more...

There’s something sad about that. I’ve found something fascinating.

Those who are serious about learning are always asking questions. And they’re asking specific types of questions.

The funny thing is, I can be one of those people who struggle to ask questions. I’m fearful.

I’m scared that people will think I’m dumb. Or that I don’t understand what’s going on.

My wife is different. She loves to ask questions. She’s fearless that way.

She’ll ask questions about characters in movies. She’ll ask questions about Bible passages. She’ll ask questions about anything that comes to her mind.
