Start Here: Four Ways to Increase Your Productivity

You’re dripping wet, on the phone, with your “to do” list in your hand. It is only after you hang up the phone and start to towel off that you realize that you still haven’t rinsed the shampoo out of your hair.

Consider this a wake-up call.

Productivity does not mean doing a million things at once. It doesn’t mean that the job stays half done all week and it certainly requires your hair to be completely washed.

Productivity means that any given job gets done in a reasonable amount of time because you are focused and organized.

The good news is that there are many ways to increase your productivity without making your life more complicated or noisy. In fact, a few simple and daily changes can help you grow in productivity while decreasing your stress.

9 Time Management Tips For Young Leaders

In today’s fast-paced world, time management has never been more challenging. Technology has made it easy for us to stay connected, and we live our life with a constant flow of information.

The downside is that this same technology has made everything urgent, and has forced leaders to learn how to use their time more effectively in order to meet these daily challenges.

Manage your time, gain more time

Today’s most successful leaders have learned how to increase their effectiveness by managing their time effectively. These leaders have learned to focus on what is most important.

These nine tips will help you focus on what is most important and increase your leadership effectiveness:

Have A Plan – Effective leaders always have a plan. They know what they want to accomplish annually, quarterly, and daily. They know their most important next actions, and complete them before they are interrupted by other things.

Should You Always Take The More Productive Path?

What’s a struggle you face frequently? One struggle I face is taking the path of least resistance. The path that will get me to my goal quicker.

The more productive path… Or so I want to call it.

But should I, or you, always take the more productive path? Is it really what we need to be doing?

Or is there a better way?

My Thoughts

Leaders always want to find newer and better ways to accomplish tasks. If we’re able to reduce the amount of time a task takes, we should do it in the, supposedly, more productive way.

This is what we’ve always been told.

Finding the quicker ways to finish a project means we can fit more in our day. We can train more people. We can lead from different vantage points.

Why I Gave Up On Inbox Zero

So many bloggers have been promoting the idea of Inbox Zero. This is the feat of keeping your email inbox at zero.

Hearing my blogging friends talk about having their inbox at zero intrigued me. My email inbox was always filled with tons of emails. Over 100,000 emails at one point.

These bloggers talked about the feelings they had when they saw an empty inbox. They said it was liberating. It was freeing. It was calming.

So I decided to try it for myself. I wiped out those 100,000 emails and started my inbox at zero again. Just like starting a new email account.

At first I was thrilled with my inbox being empty. It did feel freeing.

I felt like I’d made a dent in something that mattered. After all, so many others were saying how great Inbox Zero was.

What I Like About The NeuYear Calendar

The NeuYear calendar is laid out so you can see the whole year at a glance. This makes planning easier as you can see your whole year as you’re writing in key dates and times. There’s no having to flip through a paged calendar and backtrack to insure you’re not duplicating events over multiple months.
