Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Black Adam

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

As usual, the latest DC comic book movie is creating divisive opinions. There are moviegoers who say that Black Adam is a fantastic movie (myself included). Then, there are those who say that Black Adam is a hot mess. I don’t know what movie they saw, but it’s not the one I watched.

Who or what is Black Adam? The comic book character of Black Adam (played by Dwayne The Rock Johnson in the movie) dates back to 1945. He was an ancient Pharaoh who was granted the powers of Shazam (remember the fantastic Zachary Levi movie Shazam? That’s the power!). In much the same way, Black Adam, or as he is called throughout the film Teth-Adam (I’ll call him Black Adam in this article), was corrupted by the power when he saw his wife and son murdered.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Werewolf By Night

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

I wasn’t sure I would do a Reel Leadership article about the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry. Not because it wasn’t good but because Werewolf By Night isn’t a movie. It’s also not a television episode.

Werewolf By Night is presented as a Marvel Featurette on Disney’s streaming platform Disney+. Its runtime is 55 minutes, so it’s not a full-length movie. It’s also not a regular television series. Werewolf By Night is something else in its delivery and also its style.

The Marvel Featurette introduces multiple characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All of these characters are monsters or monster hunters. It’s great to see Marvel introducing these fantastic creatures and characters to their live-action world.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

It’s been 33 years since Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers the cartoon premiered. The cartoon series brought joy to millions of children worldwide as it aired. Sadly, the cartoon was canceled 30 years ago.

Now, 30 years later, Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers returns on Disney Plus. Chip (John Mulaney) and Dale (Andy Samberg) return in a mix of traditional animation, CGI, and live-action. They’re joined by characters such as Ellie (KiKi Layne), Sweet Pete (Will Arnett), Monterey Jack (Eric Bana), Zipper (Dennis Haysbert), Ugly Sonic (Tim Robinson), Captain Putty (J.K. Simmons), and others.

The new Disney Plus exclusive movie brings back all the feels of the original Rescue Rangers TV series along with a contemporary twist. It’s great seeing characters that haven’t been used well in the recent past brought back to life.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

Benedict Cumberbatch returns as Doctor Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. The movie is one many moviegoers have long waited for. Myself included.

The first Doctor Strange movie was a fun, trippy movie into the world of mystic arts. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is an attempt to bring a touch of horror to the Marvel universe.

The new movie isn’t bad. However, the movie struggles to find itself. Directed by the amazing Sam Raimi (the original Sony Spider-Man movie director and the creator of Army Of Darkness) just couldn’t seem to find the right mix. Despite this, I still highly recommend the movie.

You’ll get more than your fair dose of entertainment, horror, and comic book goodness. If you see Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, you will also find many leadership lessons.
