Creativity: How To Drink Water

The last Catalyst Lab session for me today is David Crowder. If you’ve followed Christian music, you know who this man is.

Crowder has been embraced for his lyrically powerful, musically elaborate and unpredictable songs. He’s been a part of David Crowder Band and currently touring as Crowder He’s also penned 2 books – Including his acclaimed release Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven, But Nobody Wants To Die.

Creativity is all around us

Creativity: How To Drink Water

Since we’re created in the image of God, explaining how to be creative is like teaching someone how to drink water. It should come naturally.

Creativity, in the sense of humans, doesn’t mean to create something from nothing. Rather, it’s creating and improving upon what’s already there.

One of the amazing components of creativity is that it’s been sitting there before us the whole time.

Imagine, if you will, the first time man discovered how to create fire. Rubbing two sticks together and POOF! Fire!

The guys sitting around this man must have been like “Whoa! This has been in front of us the whole time. We didn’t know this!”

This, this is how creativity is for us.

Creativity is right in front of us. We don’t recognize it at the moment. But it’s there.
