Today, I’m live-blogging the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta. The next speaker I’ll be live-blogging about is Bob Goff.
What can I say about Bob Goff? I fell in love with Bob and his book Love Does from the moment I first began to read it. Bob is a New York Times best-selling author, Honorary Consul to the Republic of Uganda and an attorney.
We don’t have a lot of time to argue with people. But I’m not trying to be Jesus’ lawyer.
Instead of being a lawyer, I’m trying to be like Him.
Figure out how much time you’ve got left. Then figure out who you want to spend your time with.
My love for my new dog doesn’t change because of his behavior. My love for my dog is there. Jesus’ love isn’t dependant upon my or your behavior.
Imagine if we could begin to love like Jesus. To continue to love one another regardless of how we’re treated. The way you’re treated and the way others behave shouldn’t have any impact on the way you love others.
You don’t have to make faith complicated. Faith isn’t easy but faith is simple.
We’ve got to figure out what you want and why do you want it? Get it out there. Figure out what you’re looking for.
Are you willing to do what it takes to get what you want?
What do you already have and what can you do with what you’ve already got?
