The latest installment in the Rocky/Creed film series has hit the theaters, and it’s a wild ride through Adonis Creed’s (Michael B. Jordan) past and future. In Creed 3, Adonis has retired from boxing when his friend from childhood returns. However, when Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors) returns, he has a big chip on his shoulder. Adonis has to step up to the challenge of boxing his former friend and bringing him back from the brink of ruin.

A young Damian (Spence Moore II) had taken the fall when a young Adonis (Thaddeus J. Mixson) attacked Leon (Aaron D. Alexander), a person who had terrorized Adonis at the juvenile detention center he was in. Adonis attacked Leon at a convenience store. When Leon’s friends (Brian Neal and Corey Hibbert) jumped in, Adonis was in trouble. That’s when Damian pulled a gun to protect his friend. The police showed up, saw Damian’s gun, and arrested him while Adonis ran and escaped.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Jesus Revolution

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

Jesus Revolution is a new movie directed by Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle. The film was written by Jon Erwin, Jon Gunn, and Greg Laurie (based on his book). A cool fact I found out is that one of my friends on Facebook, Matt Dickerson, was part of the marketing team for the movie.

Jesus Revolution examines the Jesus Revolution that rolled through California (and the country) in the 1970s. Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is a young man struggling to find his way. He seeks hope, love, and joy in drugs, women, and more.

Greg doesn’t find what he’s looking for in any of these activities. Only when he’s had a bad trip and the driver of the van he was in almost crashed does he realize things need to change. He stumbles out of the van and runs into a hippie preacher named Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie) that had been given the pulpit by Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer) at Calvary Chapel.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

Many people have said the Marvel Cinematic Universe has faltered lately. Sure, there have been flops with movies like The Eternals, but I believe the MCU is still going strong.

The latest film in the MCU, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, proves that.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania takes one of Marvel’s tiniest heroes to the big screen for the third time. His first movie was fantastic. The second movie in the Ant-Man franchise fell flat. But… But… Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania brings back the character and fun we all loved from the original film.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania occurs many years after the first two movies. Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) has returned from The Snap caused by Thanos. He’s still struggling to connect with his daughter, Cassie Lang/Stature/Stinger (Kathryn Newton), because of the missed time with her. This lost time plays into her desire to learn, grow, and become something more.

Leadership Lessons From Meru

A Reel Leadership Article

Meru documents the first successful ascent of Meru Peak’s Shark Fin route. This ascent was accomplished by three climbers. These climbers are Conrad Anker, Jimmy Chin, and Renan Ozturk.

This documentary felt a lot like the recent documentary Free Solo which chronicled Alex Hannold’s attempt to be the first person to free solo El Capitan. Both movies showed men doing feats that were thought to be impossible.

Man climbing Meru

Meru is a big-wall climb. Many elite climbers have tried and failed to ascend to the summit over the last 30 years. This movie documents the first ever successful climb.

Today, we’re going to look at Meru the movie and see what we can learn about leadership. As I sat and watched the movie, I was awed by the leadership lessons in Meru. I think you will be as well.
