29 Leadership Lessons And Quotes From Cars 3

A Reel Leadership Article

Let’s be honest. Walt Disney Picture’s and Pixar’s Cars 2 was a disappoint. Cars 2 strayed far from what made the original Cars movie great. Thankfully, Cars 3 veers back on track.

Cars 3 tells the story of Lightning McQueen and his new competitor Jackson Storm (which is a great name. My nephew’s name is Jackson.). Jackson Storm is a rookie race car blazing the course. He’s leaving the old competitors in the dust. That means Lightning McQueen isn’t the fastest anymore.

13 Leadership Lessons And Quotes From Disney’s Moana

A Reel Leadership Article

Disney’s latest animated feature film is the hit success Moana. Moana is about a Pacific Islander who has to partner with the demigod Maui.

I’ll be honest, I was a bit hesitant going into the movie because of the mythology of the characters. You have demigods, gods, and other mythical references.

There were quite a few references to these beings. If you can get past that, Moana is a fun animated children’s movie that is packed with leadership lessons.

Leadership Lessons And Quotes From Hacksaw Ridge

A Reel Leadership Article

Hacksaw Ridge is the story of WWII American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, played by Andrew Garfield, who served during the Battle of Okinawa. Doss refused to wield a weapon or harm another person.

For this, his commanding officer had him court-martialed and attempted to expel him from the military.

Thankfully for those he was serving with, he wasn’t dishonorably discharged. By the end of the Battle of Okinawa, Doss had pulled 75 men from Hacksaw Ridge.

Because of his heroic efforts, Doss became the first Conscientious Objector in American history to be awarded the Medal of Honor.

When I first heard the story of Doss, I couldn’t believe a man could be in the army and not pick up a weapon. This would seem like a given, even if he were to never shoot the gun.

Leadership Lessons And Quotes From Finding Dory

A Reel Leadership Article

Over 13 years ago, a little orange fish swam into our lives. His charm was instantaneous. That fish was Nemo of Finding Nemo.

And we’ve been wanting a sequel to Finding Nemo for just as long.

This weekend saw this wish come true. Finding Dory, a quasi-sequel of Finding Nemo, released to praise from critics. My opinion? Finding Dory deserves those accolades.

Finding Dory picks up 1 year after Finding Nemo ends. Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, begins to faintly remember something she shouldn’t have forgotten.

The memory finally clicks and Dory remembers she has a family. SHE HAS A FAMILY!

Thus, the stage is set for the next adventure of Nemo, Marlin (Nemo’s dad), and Dory.

But, the big question is: Does Finding Dory have leadership lessons? The answer? A resounding yes!

As you can expect, Riley’s life is turned upside down with the move.

That’s where the brilliance of Inside Out shines. We are able to put an image to the feelings we’ve all felt as we enter our first day of school, move across the country, or lose a best friend.
