Godzilla has been terrorizing audiences since 1954 when he debuted in Godzilla. Now, in 2023, it feels like he’s returned to his roots in Godzilla Minus One.

Godzilla Minus One is a complicated movie with lots of themes. Guilt, shame, love, loss, triumph, forgiveness, and more are packed into the two-hour, five-minute runtime.

The film is set in the 1940s during and after World War Two. Kamikazee pilot, Koichi Shikishima (Ryunosuke Kamiki), returns his plane to a Japanese military repair outpost. The problem? Shikishima’s plane wasn’t damaged. He was fleeing from the battle and didn’t want to die. He wanted to survive.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Disney’s Haunted Mansion

Haunted Mansion is a classic tour through an eery “haunted” mansion at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Guests have enjoyed the spooky tour for years. It’s also a 2003 movie starring Eddie Murphy. Most recently, it’s a reboot of the previous Eddie Murphy movie.

This reboot is loaded with star power. The cast includes LeKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jared Leto, and others. The cast made for a great movie as the story progressed. 

Haunted Mansion tells the story of Gabbie (Dawson) as she and her son Travis (Chase Dillon) move into an old mansion. Shortly after arriving, Travis starts to see weird happenings around the house. Eventually, Gabbie does as well.

Today marks the 36th time I’ve orbited the sun. That’s right, February 16th is my birthday!

I wanted to do something special for my birthday. I wanted to give you guys a gift. That gift is 36 leadership lessons I’ve learned over the course of my life.

1. Make friends:

Leadership can be lonely. But leadership is lonely only if you let it be. Make friends with people and your time in leadership will be much more enjoyable.

2. Know when to quit leading:

Leadership is a temporary position. There will come a day when you are no longer leading where you’ve been leading. Know when it’s time to hang up the leadership cap at your current position.  Read more...

How Are You Masking Your Pain?

When I was a kid, I had an accident while playing on the swingset in my backyard. This swingset was one of those old, metal A-frame type of swingsets.

You don’t see many of those around these days. Probably because they could be extremely dangerous.

I was playing with Jesse and Phillip in the backyard. We’d come up with the brilliant idea of placing a piece of wood on the gymnastic style bar and then walking up it.

After I’d gotten to the top, I saw my mother pull in the driveway. Seeing her pull in scared me. I thought we’d get in trouble for doing something dangerous.

So… I jumped off of the wood and landed on the ground. But before I hit, something else happened.

My forearm caught on the screw on the top of the swingset. It ripped my arm wide-open.  Read more...
