For many of us, there’s nothing better than a good summer action movie. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw gives you and I just that. A movie you can sit back, shut off, and enjoy from beginning to end.
Taking place after Fast & Furious 7, lawman Luke Hobbs (Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson) and criminal Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) are forced to join forces in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The action is fast, the story is passable (especially for a summer movie), and it sets itself up for a sequel.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw team-up of Hobbs and Shaw happens because of a cyber-genetically enhanced villain appears. Hobbs and Shaw are tasked with tracking a stolen virus and catching the bad guy.

The Upside, starring Kevin Hart as Dell Scott and Bryan Cranston as Phillip Lacasse, is a heart-warming tale. Based on the true story of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and his life auxiliary Abdel Sellou, The Upside tells the story through the eyes of Phillip (instead of Phillippe) and Dell (instead of Abdel). The Upside is also a remake of the French film The Intouchables.
A little backstory: Phillip became a quadriplegic after a tragic paragliding accident. With his wife having passed away after a battle with cancer, Phillip wants to give up on life.
Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart in The Upside
This is why he chooses to hire Dell as his life auxiliary. Phillip believed Dell wouldn’t have the capacity to keep him alive if he were to have another medical issue. As you watch The Upside, you discover Phillip was wrong. Dell gave Phillip the ability to live life again. Read more...
I missed A Quiet Place in the theaters. After watching it this past weekend, I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to see A Quiet Place.
The movie takes place sometime in the future where the world has been decimated by monsters who have hyper-sensitive hearing. This has forced the world to go into hiding and to remain virtually silent.
Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, in A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place tells the story of Lee Abbott (John Krasinski), his wife Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt), his daughter Regan (Millicent Simmonds), and son Marcus Abbott (Noah Jupe) as they try to survive in this harsh world.
Through the trials of the Abbott’s, you will jump, cry, and maybe even laugh. More than that, you will find Reel Leadership lessons in A Quiet Place.
