Quotes And Leadership Lessons From The Beekeeper

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

Pamela and I were invited to a special sneak preview of the upcoming movie The Beekeeper in IMAX format. In The Beekeeper, Jason Statham plays Adam Clay. Clay is a former Beekeeper, a powerful and top-secret organization that takes care of problems no one else can. He comes out of retirement after the only person who ever took care of him, Eloise Parker (Phylicia Rashad), committed suicide after being scammed by phishers.

A bald man with a stubble beard looking to the left. Bees are swarming around him. Yellow background. Scene from The Beekeeper movie.

This sets Clay on a deadly path. He tears through people in his way until he gets to the top of the food chain of the phishing scheme.

The Beekeeper goes full throttle on the action, just like you’d expect from a Jason Statham movie. You’ll feel the whiplash as cars explode, bodies fall, and Clay seeks to right a wrong that shouldn’t have happened.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Expend4bles (The Expendables 4)

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

The Expendables team returns in their fourth outing. As usual, we see the regular gang Barney (Sylvester Stallone), Too Road (Randy Couture), Gunner (Dolph Lundgreen), and Christmas (Jason Statham). The rowdy bunch is joined by Easy Day (50 Cent), Gina (Megan Fox), Galan (Jacob Scipio), and Lash (Levy Tran). These team members make up a rollicking good time as they have to track down the biggest threat the team of Expendables has ever faced.

Expend4bles focuses on a new villain, Rahmat (Iko Uwais). His mission is to collect pieces of a nuclear bomb and start World War 3 (we’ve all seen this before!).

But that’s okay. When we know what we’re getting into, we can have a lot of fun. As with any of the Expendables movies, you know what you’re getting into. Wacky, zany action from classic action stars, along with new ones.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

A Reel Leadership Article

For many of us, there’s nothing better than a good summer action movie. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw gives you and I just that. A movie you can sit back, shut off, and enjoy from beginning to end.

Taking place after Fast & Furious 7, lawman Luke Hobbs (Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson) and criminal Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) are forced to join forces in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The action is fast, the story is passable (especially for a summer movie), and it sets itself up for a sequel.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw team-up of Hobbs and Shaw happens because of a cyber-genetically enhanced villain appears. Hobbs and Shaw are tasked with tracking a stolen virus and catching the bad guy.

Their journey takes them around the world. It also takes them back to family.
