Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Brightburn

The best way to describe the movie Brightburn is this: Imagine a world where Clark Kent didn’t choose a path of good and becomes Superman. Instead, he chooses a path of selfishness. He chooses to use his powers to get what he wants.

The story is similar to Superman. A young couple, Tori (Elizabeth Banks) and Kyle Breyer (David Denman), are struggling with infertility. They long to have a child. Their house is filled with infertility books.

One night, Tori hears a loud crash outside of their home. The couple discovers a crashed spacecraft with a young baby inside (sounds a lot like Superman, right?). They raise the baby like he was their own child.

This series is not as serious as the previous Teen Titans cartoon or the upcoming R-Rated Teen Titans live-action streaming series on the DC Universe streaming service.

Instead of being serious or dark, Teen Titans Go! plays up the sidekick superheroes as immature, childish, and selfish. This made for a fun time at the theater. Teen Titans Go! Whenever I hear about a DC Comics movie, I become nervous. They’ve not had the best track record in translating comic books into movies. Though, they have gotten better over the years.

With recent movies like Suicide Squad, Batman Vs. Superman, and Wonder Woman DC Comics is making a name for itself in the comic book to movie world.

When we last saw Superman on the big screen, he was learning the ropes of the superhero thing. In Man of Steel, we see Henry Cavill play the caped hero. Only he’s not yet a hero.

And that’s where Batman Versus Superman comes in.

Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman, saw the mayhem poured out on the citizens of Metropolis. He saw this chaos and knew something had to be done.
