As I typed out the title for the latest Reel Leadership article, I couldn’t help but want to sing the song It’s a Beautiful Day in This Neighborhood. The title of A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood brings back all sorts of memories.
Yet, A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood won’t tell you the story you were expecting. At least it didn’t for me.

In A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, you get to see people from Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. These include Mr. McFeely (Daniel Krell), president and CEO of The Fred Rogers Company Bill Isler (Enrico Colantoni), and producer Margy (Carmen Cusack). But these people aren’t the main focus. Army Of Darkness is the third film in the Evil Dead series. Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) has been transported back in time to approximately 1300 A.D. after the events of Evil Dead 2. He now finds himself in the time of Lord Arthur (Marcus Gilbert).
Ash finds himself in the past just as Lord Arthur and Duke Henry the Red (Richard Grove) have entered into a feud. No background is given to the feud but you know it is bad. Lord Arthur’s men are bringing back Henry’s men after a skirmish. They are to be put to death.

For many, this was a movie of triumph. Captain Marvel is the first female-led movie in the Marvel movie universe.
Not only was Captain Marvel a step forward for women in the comic book to movie world. Captain Marvel is also a great movie for leaders. There are many Reel Leadership lessons and quotes in Captain Marvel leaders will be able to apply to their work life.
I was recently on my way to the Gateway Church for a Connect Group. Everything seemed okay until I drove onto the highway. Then, once I hit 60 MPH (not the 88 MPH it took the Delorean to time travel), my car began to violently shake.
Honestly, I thought my car was falling apart. The way it shook and sounded, you would’ve thought so as well.

Thankfully, my car wasn’t falling apart. But it did need some help. A small issue needed to be taken care of.
I pulled into the parking lot of another local church. I looked at my wheel wells and saw the problem. My wheel wells were packed with snow and ice. This had to be the cause of the problem.

The new basketball comedy movie Uncle Drew tells the story of Dax (Lil Rel Howery) and his dreams of having a winning team in the Rucker Classic street basketball tournament. The Rucker Classic takes place in Harlem and the competition is fierce.
Mookie Bass (Nick Kroll), Dax’s basketball rival, continues to badger and taunt Dax all these years later. This has created an intense rivalry between the two. One that has Dax going all out to win.
