During a Superbowl 52 commercial, viewers were treated to a surprise. Netflix released the trailer for the Netflix original movie The Cloverfield Paradox. And a release date: February 4th, 2018… The same night of the Superbowl and the same night the ad aired.

Whoa! Minds were blown and people were ready to watch the next chapter of the Cloverfield multiverse release. How would The Cloverfield Paradox tie into Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane? You would have to go to Netflix to find out.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Netflix’s Bright

In the 2018 Netflix original movie Bright, a human cop is forced to partner with an Orc. The cop is Daryl Ward (Will Smith) and the Orc is Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton).

Tension is high between the various races of Orcs, Elves, and Humans. Being paired up with an Orc meant Daryl Ward was in for a world of trouble.

Bright begins with Daryl being shot during an armed robbery. His partner, Nick, was busy buying a street burrito for Daryl. After a brief hospital stay, Daryl is back in the squad car with Nick riding shotgun.

While the language was very strong (multiple F-Bombs were dropped), the story was intriguing. The buddy cop twist was different. And, of course, there are plenty of leadership lessons in Netflix’s Bright. Let’s take a look at those leadership lessons below.

64 Leadership Lessons And Quotes From Marvel’s Iron Fist

Danny Rand (portrayed by Finn Jones, known for his role on Game Of Thrones as Loras Tyrell), the Iron Fist and last Marvel Defender to get his own original Netflix series, burst onto the small screen laden with controversy. Iron First was criticized for the accurate portrayal of Danny Rand as a rich white man (which his comic book counterpart was). Critics also hurled negative reviews towards the new series as boring.

After watching Iron Fist, I’m still confused over the criticisms. Iron Fist’s first season (and hopefully not last) on Netflix was enjoyable. The pacing was much better than Jessica Jones and I couldn’t wait to watch the next episode.

The cast of Iron Fist was also racially diverse. From Colleen Wing (played by Jessica Henwick, also from Game Of Thrones) to the return of Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson reprised her role from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage), there was a lot of diversity in the supposedly whitewashed Iron Fist.  Read more...

They saw a need and created a solution. This was just the start of Netflix’s innovation.

Since then, they’ve made mistakes but they’ve also continued to be on the cutting edge of new media.

Most recently, Netflix saw the need for original content. They’ve begun creating their own TV series but for the digital media streamers.

Not only have they created their own unique shows but they’ve teamed with Marvel Entertainment to bring us new comic book shows.

The first series to drop on Netflix is Daredevil. Followed by Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. All this to culminate in the comic book team series of The Defenders.
