You Can’t Keep Looking Back

If you want to move forward, you have to give up doing something. That something is looking back. Constantly looking back to the past will hinder you from moving forward.

From becoming a better husband. From being a better husband. And from being a better leader.

It’s hard to look forward and away from the past. There are so many awesome things to look back upon.

You’ve accomplished so much. You’re proud of the time you took your wife to the perfect vacation spot and the time you spent there. Or you fondly recall the time you helped lead your team to win the sales competition in your department.

All good things! All things you should be proud of. But what happens when you constantly look back?

Stop Living In Fear

When fear rules your life

The last couple of years of my life has been filled with fear. It all started with our dog Zane.

He was a great boy but he had a mean streak to him. One that led to a lot of fear in our lives.

Fear will control you

Over the course of his short life, Zane would snap. By snapping, I mean he would turn on us and bite us. There were multiple times this happened over the years we owned him.

While we loved him, we also feared he would become violent. One day he did and that was the day we made the decision we would have to put him down.

Then, for the next 3 years, we lived with the fear we would lose our other dog Leviticus to old age. We lost Leviticus almost a year ago.

Those years were filled with fear.
