Connect With The Right People

The right people will propel you forward

Paul Sohn and I once again hosted the annual Influencer Meetup At Catalyst (formerly the Catalyst Blogger Meetup). This event brought in over 50 attendees who are influencers in various spheres (blogging, podcasting, YouTube, writing, etc).

Not only did we bring in influencers, we brought in people who could help move those influencers forward. There were book publishers and agents that also attended. There were content creators looking for new voices.

By bringing these two groups together, Paul and I created an atmosphere where magic could happen. Influencers looking to get their voice hear had the chance to be heard by potential publishers. Publishers looking for new voices had the ears of potential clients. This was a win-win for both groups of people.

The Influencer Meetup At Catalyst was a connecting place.

How To Stop Over-Committing

Time is so valuable. Once we spend our time, it’s something we can never get back.

And yet so many of us are careless with how we spend our time. We’re treating time like it’s penny candy at Halloween.

We don’t keep track of it and we over-commit ourselves to activities that drain our energy.

Why do we do this? What can we do to stop over-committing.

Our commitment locks us in

With the new year getting into full swing, I believe it’s the perfect time to talk about our propensity to over-commit ourselves to causes.

If we want this year to be our best year ever, we’ve got to consider our time valuable and begin taking back our time.

Why We Over-Commit

There are many valid reasons why we over-commit. All of them good reasons and yet all of them hinder our path to success.
