The Power of Connecting With Like Minded People

We live in such a diverse world. People come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. It’s truly amazing.

Our interests are just as diverse. We’ve got people who are athletic, nerdy, funny, smart, etc… A world full of difference.

Diversity is great. It opens you up to new experiences and ideas. Some you may never have thought of before.

I encourage you to seek diversity.

But I also encourage you to seek out like minded people.

WHY?

It might seem odd that I’m encouraging you to seek out like minded people. Why would you want to seek out people with similar interests?

It’s quite simple actually. You should seek out like minded people for their encouragement. And the encouragement that they can bring to you.

Finding others who are pursuing their passions and desires can bring a huge boost to your pursuit of the lifestyle you desire.  Read more...

Are You Still Raising Your Hand To Use The Bathroom?

Think back to early elementary school. Do you remember what that was like?

You had to ask the teacher before you could do anything.

Before you could get up. Before you could get another sheet of paper. Before you could use the bathroom.

You had to raise your hand…

You then had to hope that the teacher would say that you could use the bathroom. If your prayers were answered and she said  “yes,” you were handed a hall pass that was some hideous, large trinket.

Sometimes the teacher didn’t get to a raised hand in time. That was always a disaster. A classmate’s bladder letting loose and creating a puddle beneath the desk.

YUCK!

To an adult this sounds insane. Why didn’t the child get up and go to the bathroom? Why did he wait until it was too late?  Read more...

Giving Up Isn’t The End

There will be times when you will have to admit defeat. That your prize is lost.

It won’t be pleasant but you’ll have to come to the conclusion that it’s for the best.

Recently I experienced that with my new boomerang. I shared that story with you.

After getting the boomerang stuck high in a tree, I had to decide to leave it. Along with a volleyball we got stuck while attempting to retrieve the boomerang.

Disappointment quickly set in. My first time out with it and it’s stuck in a tree. I couldn’t even see it in the tree.

A few days passed and the disappointment faded.

The realization that it was okay. Nothing major was lost. Just an object.

Life went on.
