Catalyst Atlanta 2017 Recap

The Best Recap Of Catalyst Atlanta 2017

October 5th and 6th, 2017 I had the pleasure of live-blogging from the Catalyst Conference. I was able to share with you in almost real-time what happened at the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Today, I want to recap what happened, share the highlights of the Catalyst Conference, and bring attention to some of the other live-bloggers from the conference.

What Happened At Catalyst Atlanta 2017?

In my opinion, the team at Catalyst brought the house down this year. 2017 had to have been the best speaker lineup and presentation for quite some time.

While previous years have been great, this year really sparked something in me. I feel more courageous. I feel ready to tackle issues I’ve been putting on the backburner and to actually take action.

Others seem to feel the same way after hearing from speakers like Andy Stanley, Jeremy Courtney, Tim Tebow, and more.

Carlos Whittaker Of Good Courage Catalyst Atlanta

Being human is hard. But there is hope.

Sin creeps in. It sits in the corner. And we keep letting sin sit there.

The good news is, there is hope. There is hope in surrender.

We have to get to the point where we’re not striving for courage. Courage is found in surrender.

Surrender looks different for everyone.

Carlos’ father was a preacher and he was doing a revival. A lady came to him and asked him to pray that God will clean the cobwebs. He prayed for her.

That’s A Great Question

Andy Stanley Catalyst Atlanta 2017 Questions

Great leaders always ask great questions. And great leaders aren’t afraid to surround themselves with people who ask great questions.

As a leader, if you bristle every time you are asked a question there’s a good possibility you won’t surround yourself with people who will ask great questions.

Questions Do 3 Things

Questions reveal values:

The questions you ask reveal what’s most important to you. What questions are you asking again and again and again? This shows what you value.

Christine Caine Catalyst Atlanta 2017 Of Good Courage

Christine starts out her talk by sharing about her family and then goes right into the Word. Joshua 5 is the text she is using.

I want to continue to be courageous. You can ride on the momentum of what you’ve done. It’s no longer courage but momentum and that’s not good.

How Do You Continue To Be Courageous?

Many people have stepped into the first part of what God has promised. They’re there but not moving forward. What do you have to do to continue to possess the land God has given you and be courageous?
