Why Your Attitude Matters More Than Anything Else

It’s already been a rough morning. Before you left for the office, you and the wife had an explosive argument. Top that with the kids were crying and you were late… Your morning is shot. Your attitude is too.

And that’s a major problem. Yes, the issues with your family are big problems too. Your family problems need to be fixed as well. However, when you bring a lousy attitude to the office, you’re bringing major problems with you.

Your Attitude Matters

As a leader, your attitude matters to your team. How you feel and the energy you exude will set the tone for your team members.

They see you down in the dumps and cranky, there’s a good chance they’re going to be as well. Your team will follow your example.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

A Reel Leadership Article

Reel Leadership is taking you into a new universe today. We’re bringing you into the Spider-Verse. Yes, the Spider-Verse.

What is the Spider-Verse? The Spider-Verse was originally a 2014 Marvel comic book storyline exploring alternate versions of Spider-Man being attacked by the villain Morlun. This isn’t the Spider-Verse we’re going to explore.

There’s Still Luck

Sometimes you stumble upon the right thing

There’s a phrase a lot of people like to toss around. I’ve even tossed around the phrase. That phrase is: Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. This phrase on luck is attributed to the Roman philosopher Seneca.

While I agree with this phrase for the most part, I’m beginning to think it’s not only about preparation and opportunity. Luck is something much more.

Sitting With My Childhood

I had the experience of my life in early November. My wife and I had chosen to invest in a local Comic Con, Grand Rapids Comic-Con. Because of the loan, we were given special access to the convention. We were also able to attend a VIP party.

This is where the fun really began.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Free Solo

A Reel Leadership Article

On June 3rd, 2017, Alex Honnold did the impossible. Alex free-soloed the 3,000 foot El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Free-soloing is the climbing of a rock-face without the use of any safety equipment. Alex had no harness, no safety net, nothing to catch him if he were to fall.

Such a feat seems nigh-impossible. To climb 3,000 feet into the air without safety equipment makes my mind hurt. It may make yours as well.

Having a passion for ice climbing, Free Solo caught my attention because of the high-risk behavior and the excitement of someone doing the impossible. Knowing there are people out there who are willing to risk life and limb to do what no other person is willing to do fascinates me.
