I Missed The Killer Tribes Conference But I Didn’t

Conferences are a great way to increase your knowledge and leadership potential. They bring together the best of the best to share their knowledge with you.

Bryan Allain did just that with the Killer Tribes conference in Nashville, TN.

Killer Tribes Conference

As I’ve already planned for my one big conference of the year, I had to miss Killer Tribes. Thankfully, Bryan had the foresight to record the conference and offer it to those that missed it.

I couldn’t be more grateful. The lineup Bryan put together was amazing. Men and women like:

  • Jeff Goins
  • Jon Acuff
  • Mark Hughes
  • Tamara Lunardo
  • Sarah Mae

The knowledge they shared was inspiring, motivational, and informative. Once, only available live at the conference, you can own the recordings.

Bryan offered two audio packages. Both are jam packed with goodness.

The standard Killer Tribes conference audio package includes talks from:

Fill The Void

Vacuums, the absence of matter not the household appliance, are an amazing phenomenon.

A vacuum is a space where there is no matter. On Earth, nature doesn’t like a vacuum. So outside pressure will try to push particles into the vacuum to fill the empty space inside of the vacuum.

Interesting, huh?

Our lives our like a vacuum.

We’ll clear out a couple of bad habits. We’ll feel good about ourselves. We’ll think we’re doing great.

Except we forgot to fill the empty space created by ridding ourselves of the bad habits.

There will be a void left in our lives. An empty space longing to be filled. And it will find something to fill itself with.

We must fill that void or the bad habits will come back with a vengeance.

The 6th Way To Really Motivate Your Team

Jon Gordon recently wrote a terrific blog post about 5 ways to really motivate. I found myself nodding my head and agreeing to each point he made. They all rang true.

And then I got to thinking. There’s a sixth way to really motivate your team.

My thought focuses on and expands Jon’s point number 3 – Share The Vision.

When your company has a vision it is important that you share the vision and share it often. You need to make sure your team knows the direction of the company and where it will end up. Otherwise they’ll lose hope and start to wander.

But, as a leader, sharing the vision is only the first step in the right direction. You need to LIVE the vision.

If you’re not living out the vision, your team will notice. They’ll become disillusioned and discouraged.

Skip The Hype, Do The Work

Movie production companies hype their latest movie. Authors hype their latest book. Bands and musicians hype their newest album.

Everyone is trying to tell us that their latest effort is the next best thing.

Rarely is that the case and we’re let down. We need to start skipping the hype and doing the work.

Have you ever been so excited to see the latest summer blockbuster only to be sorely let down? The previews showed exciting action or extremely funny scenes. Yet when you go to the theater and watch the movie it was disappointing? Yeah, that happens.

We need to get to the point where we’re past the hype.

Instead of building hype, create great art.

Great art will inspire those that hear or view it. Great art will leave an impression. Great art moves.
