Can you believe we are now officially done with the year 2013? Crazy, huh?

I hope your 2013 was an exceptional year. Mine was a mixture of awesomeness and, at the same time, great sadness. My expectations for 2014 are big. Bigger than they’ve ever been. Let’s make this new year fantastic!

Lets begin by taking a look at the most popular posts from December.

I noticed a new trend in the top ten list, posts that contain a NUMBER of helpful ways to improve your leadership have crept their way into the top positions.

People love lists and the ease with which they can scan through the posts. This makes it easy to see what’s needed and then move on.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to post a comment on the blog posts I’ve shared. I cannot iterate enough how much each comment means.

Site Statistics

Visits – Decreased 16.29%

Unique Visitors – Decreased 22.31%

Pageviews – Decreased 4.66%

Pages Per Visit – Increased 13.90%

Average Visit Duration – Increased 41.48%

Bounce Rate – Decreased 11.97%

New Visits – Decreased 8.93%

I’d expected the decreases to hit this month as last month I had the huge influx of LaCrae fans hit the site. This month there was no large, one day gains.

However, with the decrease, I’m still happy with the results. Things held pretty steady and the site traffic was good.

Site News

The site did have a great opportunity last month. I had the chance to guest post for Michael Hyatt. If you didn’t get a chance to see the post, you can check it out here.

Question: What about you? If you’re a blogger, share your most popular post. If you’re not, share your favorite post from a blogger you follow.

Joe – I love this month-end recap and I’m totally copying it in 2014 – no offense! :)

    • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

No problem Matt. I actually stole it from Michael Hyatt when he used to do them. Any idea what your top post was last month?

      • http://www.mattham.com/ Matt Ham

Last month was my post about My One Word (http://mattham.com/2013/12/11/one-word-can-change-your-life/) | It was a top 5 for the year too. Mainly because it crossed networks and was a personal testimony – I find that those perform the best!

I really need to get some site analytic s hooked up, but I’m not that technically savvy yet. I need tutoring!

Sweet. I received the book by the way, can’t wait to get into it.

Joe, Congrats on another month. And thanks for the mention. It’s a privilege to be part of your blogging community. The number one post on my blog this month was actually written back in April – I’m Losing My Patience – 6 Ways To Rediscover Patience. Cool Jon. Don’t you love seeing the older posts creep back to the top?

      • http://jonstolpe.com/ Jon Stolpe

Yes. It’s kind of interesting. My top 3 posts for 2013 were from previous years. I’m glad to see some of my stuff is having a lasting impact.

I really enjoyed the amazing content from your blog this year Joe, I really learned a lot, thanks for continuing to challenge us! My top post actually came at the end of the year, it was my update on the goals I set at the beginning of 2013: http://kimanziconstable.com/my-year-end-review-part1/ It was a good year!

    • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

Thanks Kimanzi. I could see why people would be interested in your goals. You’ve been knocking them out left and right.

Thanks for your kind mention. I like your writing. You are able to spark refflection.

My most popular post this month was a guest post on leading a mixed gender combat unit. It caught the attention of Twitter and Facebook and was widely shared.

I am looking forward your posts in January.

    • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

That’s great Soren. Are guest posts something you feature regularly on your blog?

      • http://sorensjogren.com/ Soren Sjogren

It was a guest post I was allowed to publish on another blogger’s site.

As for own blog I am just trying to figure out where I want to take it. I have been blogging in English as well as Danish. I have not yet featured a guest post on neither of them.

        • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

That’s awesome. Congrats on landing the guest post!
