5 Leadership Books To Read In April 2023

Reading, or continuous learning, is something every leader needs to do. That’s why every month I bring you five books to consider reading. These are books by men and women who have been there and done that. They have the experience, knowledge, and practicality to get you from point A to point B.

This month’s list consists of five more great books for leaders. They are enjoyable, easy reads that will take you to the next level. If you don’t enjoy reading physical books, consider picking up an audiobook version. All but one of the books on this list have that option for you!

PS: Read to the end to discover how you can win one of the books on this month’s list.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Shazam! Fury Of The Gods

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

The much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 film Shazam! opened recently. Shazam! Fury Of The Gods brings just as much fun to the theaters as the original film. The film continues Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) journey as the boy who says SHAZAM! and is turned into a superhero (Zachary Levi).

Critics have panned the movie. I think they don’t understand the point of film at times. Sure, Reel Leadership looks at the leadership aspect of movies, but movies can also entertain. They take us to a place we couldn’t go to before. Shazam! Fury Of The Gods brings us a lot of fun, laughs, and smiles throughout.

Go into the movie expecting to have fun, and you will. You can also go to the movie expecting to come out a better leader.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

A Reel Leadership Article

My latest book, Reel Leadership, is now available on Amazon. If you love movies and leadership, you will love this book.

Many people have said the Marvel Cinematic Universe has faltered lately. Sure, there have been flops with movies like The Eternals, but I believe the MCU is still going strong.

The latest film in the MCU, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, proves that.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania takes one of Marvel’s tiniest heroes to the big screen for the third time. His first movie was fantastic. The second movie in the Ant-Man franchise fell flat. But… But… Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania brings back the character and fun we all loved from the original film.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania occurs many years after the first two movies. Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) has returned from The Snap caused by Thanos. He’s still struggling to connect with his daughter, Cassie Lang/Stature/Stinger (Kathryn Newton), because of the missed time with her. This lost time plays into her desire to learn, grow, and become something more.

How To Deal With Success As A Leader

As we inch closer and closer to success, you may notice things begin to change. I’ve seen it happen with friends of mine.

They start to act differently. They make different, sometimes unwise, choices. They look at life differently.

Then there are those who stay true to who they are. They walk the talk. They are the real deal.

Both are dealing with their success. Just not in the same way.

Deal with success properly

The Wrong Way To Deal With Success

My heart breaks when I think of people who are considered successful yet their lives are falling down around them.

Marriages are destroyed. Families are torn apart. Businesses that appear stable crumble and fall.

Lately, I’ve watched as successful people have cheated on their wives and failed to heed the advice of others. I’ve seen others spend their money until they’re broke.

Success Isn’t Complicated

I was recently listening to a Facebook Live session hosted by Jonathan Milligan from Blogging Your Passion. He was sharing about blogging success.

He stated something profound. Well, it was profound to me, at least. Jonathan Milligan said:

Success isn’t complicated.

At first glance, you may say Jonathan’s lost his mind. His quote about success seems crazy. But the success quote isn’t.

Take a moment. Digest what Jonathan shared in the Facebook Live session.

Is success difficult to achieve? Is it something you won’t be able to achieve?

I agree with Jonathan about success. Success isn’t complicated. Success can be very simple if you do a couple of things.
