Pam and I go to the movie theater often. In the last couple of years, I can’t recall the movie theater being as packed as it recently has. I believe there’s one movie that has caused families to flock back to the theater. That movie?

R.L. Stine’s Goosebump book series was once again brought to life in Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. Once again, an R.L. Stine manuscript wreaks havoc in a small town. This time, the town is Wardenclyffe, New York. The town Nikola Tesla built the Wardenclyffe Tower.

When two boys, Sonny Quinn (Jeremy Ray Taylor) and Sam (Caleel Harris) discover a magical book. The magical book would awaken a ventriloquist’s dummy called Slappy the Dummy (Mick Wingert).

Slappy is looking for a family. More specifically, Slappy desires a mother figure in his life.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween brings to life the children books you may have read in your youth. While it’s not a great movie, it’s definitely a movie you could watch with your children and enjoy.

Why So Serious?

Being Taken Seriously

Transitioning from a traditional team member to a team member with authority is a huge shift. So is stepping into a leadership position when you have no history with an organization.

Becoming a leader is serious business. It’s also a challenging position. Even more so when there’s a need to be serious.

Keanu Reeves stars as legendary assassin John Wick in this great action film from 2014. With John Wick: Chapter 3 releasing in May, I thought this would be a perfect time for a Reel Leadership article about John Wick.

Having retired from his profession, John Wick is drawn back into the world of assassins when his wife passes away and his dog is brutally murdered by a Russian thug. From there, John’s world goes from normal to deadly.

John Wick is packed with action. It’s an action movie for guys who like to see the bad guys punished. John Wick dispenses his own brand of justice on the lowlifes who took away what was precious to him.

Eighteen years after the release of one of my favorite movies, M. Night Shyamalan returns to write and direct the last movie in the Unbreakable trilogy. Glass concludes the three movie story arch with a bang.

The start of Glass sees David Dunn (Bruce Willis) working with his son, Joseph Dunn (Spencer Treat Clark), to rid his city of crime. They’re working in a security business during the day. During the night, David goes out to fight crime as The Overseer. Their next big target is Kevin Wendall Crumb and his many personalities (James McAvoy), the main villain from Split.
