Leading Through Change

Other than death and taxes, there’s one other thing that you can be sure of in your life. Change. Change is that other constant.

There will never be a part of your life that doesn’t involve change. From your family to your friends to your leadership position.

Everything changes.

Even you!

You cannot escape change. It pursues you like a lion pursues its prey. And change will find you like the lion finds the wounded or weak antelope.

This doesn’t mean you’re weak. What this means is that you’re human. You’re normal. You’re going to face change.

Stop Fighting Change

You may be tempted to try to outrun change like the pursued antelope. I want to give you a word today. That is to stop.

Army Of Darkness is the third film in the Evil Dead series. Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) has been transported back in time to approximately 1300 A.D. after the events of Evil Dead 2. He now finds himself in the time of Lord Arthur (Marcus Gilbert).

Ash finds himself in the past just as Lord Arthur and Duke Henry the Red (Richard Grove) have entered into a feud. No background is given to the feud but you know it is bad. Lord Arthur’s men are bringing back Henry’s men after a skirmish. They are to be put to death.

Quotes And Leadership Lessons From Angel Has Fallen

Gerard Butler has become a favorite actor of mine. Ever since I saw him in the great movie Machine Gun Preacher, I try to keep an eye out for new movies from him. I’ve missed a few, like the previous movies in the Has Fallen series. These movies include Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. I’m glad I didn’t miss Angel Has Fallen.

Angel Has Fallen picks up after London Has Fallen and sees Butler return as Secret Service agent Mike Banning and Morgan Freeman as President Trumbull. The two play well off of one another when they’re both on screen together. Their co-stars also bring energy to their roles.

Overcoming Your Resistance To Change

The mere mention of the word change sends shivers up the spines of those who are resistant to change. Do you know who those people are? They’re everyday, normal people like you or me.

Change is a scary word. I hated it for a long time. Change meant things weren’t going to be the same anymore. It meant friends moving away, people dying, job changes, bands breaking up, comic book series ending, new ways of doing business, and so much more.

Change is a constant in life. We have to get used to change and learn how to overcome our resistance to change. You can’t do this without an intentional outlook on your life.
