Today, I’m live-blogging the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta. The next speaker I’ll be live-blogging about is Christine Caine.
Christine is an Australian activist, evangelist, author, and international speaker. She is the author of Unashamed, Unstoppable, and other books. Christine is also the founder of the A21 Campaign and Propel Women.
Christine starts out her talk by sharing about her family and then goes right into the Word. Joshua 5 is the text she is using.
I want to continue to be courageous. You can ride on the momentum of what you’ve done. It’s no longer courage but momentum and that’s not good.
How Do You Continue To Be Courageous?
Many people have stepped into the first part of what God has promised. They’re there but not moving forward. What do you have to do to continue to possess the land God has given you and be courageous?
1. Have the courage to cut away certain things:
The children of Israel were told to circumcise the males of the tribe. Even the adults. They had pieces of their body that needed to be cut away. They had to pay their own price, they couldn’t ride on the price paid by the generation before.
2. Have the courage to heal:
Joshua tells us the Israelites stayed in the camp until they were healed. We must allow Jesus to transform and heal us.
We think God is going to fix us RIGHT away. When God doesn’t heal us right away, we think something’s not right. People begin to fall away because they have a wrong picture of the healing process.
3. Have the courage to fill yourself with Jesus:
What are you filling yourself with on a regular basis? Are you venting and gossiping on Twitter or Facebook?
Doing these things takes our eyes off of what it’s all about.
Make your focus Jesus.
4. Have the courage to see with the supernatural eye of faith:
God gave the army an odd battleplan. They were told to march around the walls of Jericho for 7 days. No weapons. No noise. All around one of the most fortified cities of the world at the time.
They began to do what God said. They saw with supernatural eyes and made the laps.
You need to take another lap. Have the courage to take another lap today.
